Who we are

Locally led, community driven, and committed to dignity

Ramaas Charity Foundation is an independent, non-political humanitarian and development organization based in Garowe, Puntland. Founded in 2020, Ramaas was created in response to poverty, conflict, displacement, drought, flooding, and limited access to essential services.

We work alongside communities to meet urgent needs and build lasting solutions rooted in dignity, opportunity, accountability, and hope.

Flagship project

The Ramaas Orphanage & Sustainable Farm

Near Garowe, Ramaas is developing an integrated orphanage and farm designed to give 200 orphaned children a safe home, education, meals, healthcare, recreation, clean water, and practical opportunities to build self-reliance.

The campus includes classrooms, bed halls, a mosque, and dining and kitchen facilities, with farmland and planned health and sports facilities. Important facilities have been established, but major infrastructure, equipment, water, health, and agricultural needs remain.
