Ramaas is committed to responsible stewardship, transparent decision-making, community participation, and compliance with applicable laws and registration requirements. Trust must be earned through clear governance, accurate reporting, ethical fundraising, and safeguarding.
Legal & registration
Our registration record
Public-safe summaries of the documents on file. Full certificates are published only in redacted form once personal identifiers are removed.
Federal NGO authorization
Federal Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation. Reference MoIFAR/NGOD/0972; certificate no. 21611330. Issued 14 August 2025; expiry 14 August 2026. Permitted activities: health, education, youth and women empowerment, human rights, and food security.
Puntland registration
Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation. License no. 0000564. Issued 12/07/2025; expiry 12/07/2026. Registered as a main local NGO for multi-sectoral projects in Puntland.
Non-criminal record certificate
Puntland Police Commission, Criminal Investigation Department; dated 23 July 2025. States that the foundation and named leadership had no history of criminal involvement at the time of review.
Land dedication (waqf)
Puntland Ministry of Justice, Constitution, Religious Affairs and Rehabilitation; letter dated 6 January 2026. Records approximately 70,000 m² dedicated as waqf for charitable purposes.

Governance
We publish our Board of Directors, leadership roles, and a clear explanation of oversight responsibilities.
Registration
We publish current, redacted registration summaries and public-safe certificates.
Financial transparency
We publish approved annual and project budgets, funding restrictions, and financial reports and reviews as they become available.
Project reporting
We publish dated milestones, outputs, expenditures, photographs, and challenges as work advances.
Safeguarding
We publish child-protection commitments, reporting channels, consent standards, and a designated safeguarding contact.
Feedback & complaints
We provide a confidential process for beneficiaries, staff, partners, and donors to raise concerns without retaliation.
Child safeguarding
Protecting the children we serve
Because Ramaas serves orphaned children and vulnerable communities, safeguarding and informed consent are built into our content, design, forms, photography, fundraising, and data management. This is a non-negotiable standard.
If you have a safeguarding concern, or feedback of any kind, you can raise it confidentially through our contact channels. Concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation.

- We do not publish a child’s full name, exact residence, personal history, medical information, or other identifying details unless a documented safeguarding review approves it.
- We use guardian consent and age-appropriate child assent for identifiable images and stories.
- We never use degrading images or language that presents children only as passive victims.
- We do not connect donation amounts to ownership of a specific child or create unmonitored donor–child relationships.
- We do not publish unredacted passports, signatures, personal telephone numbers, or sensitive legal documents.
- We collect the minimum personal information needed through website forms and secure it appropriately.

Ramaas maintains policies covering safeguarding, privacy and data protection, complaints, anti-fraud, conflict of interest, procurement, whistleblowing, and donation terms. Summaries and public documents are published as they are approved for release.
